The Democratic National Convention Committee on Thursday announced United Airlines as the official airline for next year's convention.
The convention, to be held in Denver from Aug. 25-28, is expected to draw about 35,000 people to the city.
United is the largest airline serving Denver International Airport. This marks the fourth consecutive convention Democrats have named United the official airline.
United has an average of 420 daily departures from Denver, including 16 international flights.
As the official airline, United will offer discounts to convention delegates and DNCC officials and staff.
Also Thursday, the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee unveiled its logo. The logo was created through a collaboration between student artists Stuart Confer of the Art Institute of Colorado and Nathan Zehr of Colorado State University.
The logo reads "Denver 2008" with a red, white and blue star. The red and blue of the star are bisected by an image of mountains rendered in white, with the sun's rays emanating from it.
